Privacy Policy
How we collect, use and protect personal information across our Johannesburg and Lagos operations.
1. Who we are
Dondazul Applications is a software and website development studio operating from Johannesburg, South Africa and Lagos, Nigeria, as a subsidiary of DON DAZUL PRODUCTIONS PTY LTD. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through our website, our chat threads and the products we operate.
Questions about this policy can be sent to kelvin.Adenekan@dondazulapps.dev or through the contact thread on this site.
2. Information we collect
Details you give us: your name, email address, phone number, company name and the description of the project or product you want built, submitted through our contact form or chat threads.
Messages and attachments: the content of conversations between you and our engineering team, kept so that a thread can be continued later, online or offline.
Technical information: browser type, device type, approximate region, pages visited and timestamps, gathered to keep the site secure and to understand which pages are useful.
Cookie preferences: the choice you make in our cookie banner, stored on your device so that we do not ask again on every visit.
3. How we use information
To reply to your enquiry, scope your project and quote accurately; to deliver and support software we build or operate for you; to send service and authentication emails such as sign-in links, password resets and thread notifications; to keep our systems secure and to detect abuse; and to meet legal, accounting and tax obligations in South Africa and Nigeria.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not add you to marketing lists you did not ask for.
4. Legal basis and consent
We process personal information where you have consented, where it is necessary to perform a contract with you, where we have a legitimate interest in operating and securing our services, or where the law requires it. Our processing is designed to align with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) in South Africa and the Nigeria Data Protection Act.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
Essential cookies keep sessions, security and chat-thread identity working, and cannot be switched off. Preference cookies remember your settings and your cookie choice. Analytics cookies give us anonymous page and traffic statistics. Marketing cookies help us understand which campaigns bring founders to us.
When you first visit, our banner lets you accept all cookies or reject everything that is not essential. You can change your mind by clearing this site's storage in your browser and choosing again.
6. Sharing and processors
We share information only with service providers who help us run the studio: cloud hosting and database providers, email delivery infrastructure for authentication and notification emails, and error-monitoring tools. These providers process information on our instructions and under confidentiality obligations. We may disclose information where the law compels us to.
Client project data is never shared with other clients, and code or designs created for you are treated as confidential.
7. Cross-border transfers
Because we operate between two countries and use cloud infrastructure, information may be stored or processed outside your country of residence. Where that happens, we use providers that offer contractual and technical safeguards comparable to the protections described in this policy.
8. Retention
Enquiry and chat records are kept while a project is active and for a reasonable period afterwards so that we can support what we built and meet record-keeping duties. Technical logs are kept for a short operational window. When information is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised.
9. Security
We apply the same standards to our own systems that we apply to fintech products: least-privilege access, row-level database policies, encrypted transport, token-gated access to chat threads, monitored deployments and prompt patching. No system is perfect, so we also keep incident procedures ready and will notify affected people and regulators where the law requires.
10. Your rights
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we have no overriding obligation to keep it, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent you previously gave. Write to kelvin.Adenekan@dondazulapps.dev and we will respond within a reasonable period, usually far sooner.
11. Children
Our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will remove it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services and the law change. The date below reflects the most recent revision, and material changes will be highlighted on this page.
